20 Pantry Staples

These are the items I do my best to keep on hand at all times. In our household most of us are Dairy-Free & Gluten-Free and that is definitely reflected on this list. My focus is on buying organic, and if I absolutely can’t find organic I will buy Non-GMO. I also try and find the least processed, fewest ingredients, whole food options I can. I will put more specifics for what I look for or avoid for the items below.

·     Almond Flour - most almond flour sold in stores is actually an almond meal. I buy my almond flour online and it is much finer and fluffier when used in baking compared to the denser almond meal.

·       Almond Milk - I avoid carrageenan, and sweetened

·       Apple Cider Vinegar - I look for it with “the mother”

·       Avocado Oil

·       Arrow Root Powder

·       Baking Soda - I Look for Aluminum-free

·       Cassava Flour

·       Coconut Aminos

·       Coconut Flour

·       Coconut Oil - I look for cold-pressed

·       Coconut Milk - I avoid carrageenan, and sweetened

·       Collagen

·       Honey - I try to buy as local as possible for the allergy benefits. Fingers crossed we will have our own this fall!!

·       Maple Syrup - real maple syrup as the only ingredient

·       Mustard

·       Nuts

·       Spices: Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Cumin, Garlic Powder, Nutmeg, Onion Powder, Oregano, Parsley.

·       Sea Salt

·       Seeds: Pumpkin, Sunflower, Sesame

·       Tea

·       Tuna - wild caught

So that’s my basic list. I am certain I missed a few things trying to keep it concise and an even number. What items did I miss? What’s on your pantry must have list? Please add in the comments so we can help each other be more organized and prepared.

If you want you can download my shopping list. I have it laminated and on the fridge so we can check off when we are getting low and can be sure to order more.
